LilyGrace

LilyGrace is our youngest child.  She turned 10 in February and is going into the 5th grade.  She is, most definitely our biggest organizer/helper around the house.  She is definitely gifted with organizational skills.  I think that she could very well be the next Design Star.  Ok, maybe more like the next Design Star in about 20 years or so.

LilyGrace has a lot of her mother and father in her.  She has her daddy’s organizational skills and sense of humor and her mother’s wit and quick thinking.  She loves playing pretend and playing games.  LilyGrace also loves to swim, ride her bike and play basketball.  She loves to sing and play the PS4 with Eli. LilyGrace has her own, in house massage business with her very own massage table.  Ok, Mimi and Didi may have encouraged this passion of hers.  After all, she does give great back massages.

Lily’s has several favorite worship songs, including, Open Up the Heavens by Meredith Andrews.  LilyGrace really enjoys coloring and cleaning.  She also loves to sing along with anything on the radio.

LilyGrace was diagnosed with Fibrous Dysplasia back in 2015.  Basically, she has bone tumors in her entire right leg (from her left hip to her toes).  She has had one unsuccessful surgery and has been a patient at the National Institute of Health in Bethesda, Maryland; Shriner’s Hospital for Children and Children’s Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. This is a very painful condition and she has a brace that she wears on her right leg to help strengthen the bone and relieve pain. On days when the pain is quite severe LilyGrace has a wheelchair and/or crutches that she can use.

In April 2018, LilyGrace’s femur broke in two while she was walking down the hallway at church. She got two more rides in an ambulance and was out of school for the rest of the year.

Lily has talked about her relationship with Jesus quite frequently.  She can tell you why Jesus died on the cross and why He rose again.  She can tell you that she is a sinner. She has also made a profession of faith.  Pray for LilyGrace and that God will guide her to also be bold in her faith and to solidify her decision to follow hard after Jesus Christ and fall in love with him as her Lord and Savior.  LilyGrace is also addicted to Starbucks!
